Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: Protein Brownie

Protein Brownie

Even though we're going back to "old" times foodwise, it doesn't mean we still don't want to enjoy the "modern" foods, right? Looking around to find some nice chocolaty recipes, i found one for brownies on fastpaleo.com and gave it a go.

Ingredients: (in grams this time)

60 gr. almond butter (unsalted)
55 gr. coconut oil (liquid)
100 gr. of honey (here is where i thought to make some changes, since it would make it quite high carb)
I used about 30 grams of honey and 40 grams of Sukrin
160 gr. coconut milk
45 gr. cocoa powder
3 eggs
50 gr. Almond flour
50 gr. Essential Whey 60 or use any pure, unflavoured Whey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda

Mix all the ingredients into a bowl until smooth.
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees (350)
Pour the batter into a glass pan, greased with some extra coconut oil.
Bake for 30 mins. Mine came out less sweet, since i didn't use all the honey and unfortunately only had salted almond butter. It still turned out nice!

  2. Totally! Just working the the sweetness part of it, since that didn't come out too well.
