Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: Product Review: Paleo Treats

Product Review: Paleo Treats

Oh my, let's talk about chocolaty things. I am not a really big fan of sweets, so going Paleo didn't mean throwing out tonnes of candy. But chocolate is another thing. Another level, rather. I absolutely love the stuff, and if you've been paying attention, the darker the better. But products made of chocolate are rather awesome as well and finding recipes involving chocolate has become quite an obsession. My Pinterest has a board devoted to sweets, but i have to admit that out of the 75 pins (currently) about 95% is about chocolate.

So, bumping into Paleo Treats was like a calling from heaven.
They are a California based company, run by people that are clearly passionate about good food, Paleo, outdoors and all sortsa good stuff. Luckily, a friend was traveling to the US, so i ordered them to be taken back to Europe (clever, eh?)
Got the triple shot order, meaning the Brownie Bombs, Mac Attacks & Cacao Now! come together, 4 of each. Lee from Paleo Treats was super accommodating, making sure the order was sent on time, great personal service!

So, the Brownie Bomb was talking to me this weekend, so I ate it.
Not really any other way to describe it; it's friggin' delicious. Rich chocolate flavor, the perfect brownie texture. If you have a sweet craving, this is the perfect "guilt free" way to go.
Don't get me wrong, just because it has the label Paleo, that doesn't mean you can eat tonnes of it. In the end, it's still a sweet treat, something to be enjoyed in moderation.
Paleo Treats even say it on their site, is it Paleo? Yes & No. Cavemen did not eat Brownie Bombs. But the ingredients are pretty darn close. Want to nitpick? Go sit in a cave and stop using the internet. Because that isn't Paleo either.

Brownie Bomb! gone

Moral of the story? I love Paleo Treats. I want to bathe in them, heck, I want to work there so I can be around them. All day.
Did they pay me to write these nice things? No. Just buy them, you won't be sorry.
