Google+ Cave Food Kitchen: F.A.Q.

F.A.Q.

Where are you from?
I live in Amsterdam, capital of the country where bread & cheese rule. Going Paleo/Primal/Keto here (so admitting bread is bad) is like cursing in church. Not to mention the love for potatoes here. So actually writing this blog could endanger my citizenship.

So, are you a certified dietitian?
Yes, I completed my study in June of 2013, and continue to update my knowledge as I go alnong.

How can I contact you?
Sure, you can drop a comment or mail me. Spam belongs in a can, not on my blog.

Are you a medical expert?
No, if you have medical problems, you should see your doctor. Really.

Are you strict Paleo?
No, I take from Paleo what works for me, the Paleo diet is not set in stone (pun intended) there are a lot of opinions on what is paleo or not, and I don't claim to be 100% paleo either.

Why do you have all those ads and productlinks on your blog?
Well, writing a blog doesn't pay the bills, and this is way to generate a tiny bit of money. Believe me, it's not that much at all. But, if you were me, you'd probably do it too. Plus, that money could help me when I possibly lose my citizenship ;-)
Besides, you don't have to click on them if you don't want to, or even buy the products.

Are all the recipes originally yours?
Some of them are, I just play around in the kitchen and see what happens. Others I found on other websites, but then I always post the original source.

Why do you tag recipes sometimes either Paleo, Primal or Keto?
If it is really Paleo, it's labeled Paleo. Sometimes a recipe contains a dairy product for example, something that is "allowed" in the Primal diet (read more about it here) Or, it's typically high fat, low carb, which makes it more Keto. So I mix things up a little, but everybody should decide for themselves what they are most comfortable with.
